Joining the new study centre—a venue rising among
the treetops, designed by Alvisi Kirimoto and Studio
Gemma—at the LUISS Guido Carli University in
Rome are Mura armchairs and E5000 study desks. The
interiors are designed to host teaching sessions and
various types of events. LAMM’s compact solutions
make the sophisticated auditorium a functional space.
The 227 Mura armchairs, designed by Gino Gamberini
and equipped with tip-up writing tablets, are installed
in both flat and sloping curved rows. The seat closes
in a controlled and quiet way: the backrest returns
to a vertical position, reducing the space taken up
by the armchair and benefiting the space between
the rows. At ground level, the 140
E5000 study desks, designed by Orlandini design, are
equipped with a tip-up top, as well as a seat, backrest
and panels in black HPL laminated plywood by Abet
Laminati, the components for which are made from
FSC®-certified wood.
