Ulteam: L213 armchairs “dress up” the auditorium of the innovative office complex created from the 19th-century “hôtel particulier”
The large hall is part of a bold renovation project in which the new materialises in volumes of metal and glass that embrace the historic building
In Paris, contemporaneity and history come together in an office complex resulting from the replacement of a 1950s building and the restoration of a 19th-century “hôtel particulier”, a luxurious aristocratic residence a stone’s throw from the famous Champs-Elysées. The new materialises in volumes of metal and glass that surround the renovated historic building in its splendour and erase the boundary between inside and outside, between the interior and the greenery embellished by the historic garden.
Inside are innovative offices with 70% of the space dedicated to teamwork. Interaction is encouraged, but without neglecting individual needs. The new complex, which totals a surface area of approximately 6,200 square metres, 1,500 of which are dedicated to terraces and greenery, is designed by Paris-based Arte Charpentier Architects on behalf of Groupama Immobiliare. The bold renovation is also reflected in the interior where elegant rooms, such as the historic and immense hall, mingle with innovative and contemporary spaces. These include the large 152-seat auditorium made functional, with a touch of elegance, by the L213 – R&D LAMM armchairs fully upholstered and covered in grey Kvadrat – Field fabric.
The seat, which stands out for its attention to detail and minimalist design, is used here in its version with a straight side with increased thickness and equipped with a retractable flip-up HPL writing tablet, as well as electrical and USB sockets in the lower front part. The floor anchoring feet are painted in semi-matt black (RAL 9005). The installation was arranged in straight rows on steps. The first, with a spacing of 58 cm, has two removable armchairs at each end. For the remaining rows, the spacing increases to 60 cm.
