SEE – Salon de l’expérience étudiante: the first edition concludes successfully

On November 20th, the first edition of the SEE – Salon de l’expérience étudiante concluded in Paris, a two-day event dedicated to innovative solutions designed to transform campuses and educational environments into spaces of the future.

This event brought together leading industry players, offering the opportunity to discover and promote the best design solutions for students. The program included not only exhibitions but also workshops, conferences, and moments dedicated to networking and idea-sharing.

In this context, LAMM presented its collections and furnishing solutions designed for the diverse spaces that make up modern campuses: from traditional and flexible classrooms to study halls, libraries, dining areas, auditoriums, laboratories, administrative offices, and common and waiting areas. Together with our local partner ATOMA, we would like to thank everyone who visited our stand for their interest and enthusiasm toward our products and vision.

LAMM presents new updates to the OnTime collection – design Baldanzi & Novelli

Innovation and comfort redefine the multifunctional armchair’s design

LAMM is pleased to announce the latest updates to the OnTime collection, designed by Baldanzi & Novelli. In fact, the OnTime range expands with a series of new versions and new accessories that improve its functionality and design, while maintaining the high standards of comfort and versatility that already characterised the product.

To further improve functionality, LAMM has introduced a folding under-seat basket. In its resting position, the basket integrates perfectly into the volume of the chair without any interference in the usual closing and stowing movements.

The new standard tablet, now available in a larger size and made of black HPL, replaces the old ABS version. This tablet, which has a new rectangular shape and is more in harmony with the product’s stylistic lines, can be flipped-up with an anti-panic movement and can be easily fitted and removed with an interlocking coupling (no screws), facilitating stacking operations.

One of the main new features, however, is the introduction of an innovative new version of the armchair with a system for adjusting the distance of the work surface from the user (Patent Pending). The oversize (32 x 64 cm) flip-up writing tablet, which offers a work surface covering the entire width of the chair, is installed on a self-lubricating lateral slide that allows optimal adjustment of the work distance and facilitates getting seated or getting up from the seat even with the tablet in use. The braked point rotation, which does not compromise the anti-panic closure, prevents it from unintentionally flipping up, keeping laptops and other working tools flat.

Lastly, OnTime is now also available in a fully upholstered version, without upper and lower thermoplastic parts. In this case, the sides are opened and closed by means of discreet, minimalist hinges, two on each side, which maintain the collection’s rigorous and distinctive aesthetics.

Each element is designed for practicality without sacrificing elegance and comfort. The new OnTime collection represents a significant step forward in multifunctional chair design, offering innovative solutions for modern, dynamic environments.

L213 armchairs for the Genolier Innovation Hub

The versatile LAMM seats in customised sizes furnish the immersive 300-seat auditorium

Promoting interaction between doctors, scientists, pharmaceutical industry technicians, med tech and digital technology experts, to support new discoveries, spread knowledge, develop innovative solutions for swift integration in healthcare, with the ultimate goal of accelerating progress and innovation in medical care. Near Geneva, in the heart of the Swiss Health Valley, the Genolier Innovation Hub has recently been inaugurated. A centre of excellence dedicated to healthcare research and innovation, with 25,000 square metres of offices, laboratories, training spaces and an immersive auditorium equipped with LAMM ‘s elegant and versatile L213 armchairs.

A flagship centre for medical care not only in Switzerland, but on a global scale, realized with excellent partnerships such as that of the Swiss Medical Network, one of the main groups of private clinics in Switzerland. The first of its kind in Europe and one of the few in the world to abolish the boundary between research, industry, and practice to improve the lives of patients. The Swiss hub was launched with four business partners, including two US-based companies, GE Healthcare and Accuray, as well as Biopôle and RaySearch Laboratories, also thanks to Aevis Victoria, the holding company that invested in this venture. An achievement that brings together top-tier research and treatment expertise, resulting from two and a half years of work, and involving an investment of CHF 100 million, equivalent to EUR 106.5 million.

Designed by architect Gabriele Rossi of Archilab, the project features a spacious auditorium surrounded by screens, offering a 270-degree immersive experience. Chosen for this avant-garde space, the L213 armchairs boast a design that seamlessly fits any architectural environment, from the futuristic Swiss hub to the most historic ones (like the 19th-century sugar storage building in Dunkirk, where L213 adorn the large auditorium). Installed in straight rows on steps, according to a spacing of 56 cm, the seats in the Genolier Innovation Hub feature a fully upholstered design with sloping sides in blue Trevi CS fabric.

Prioritising comfort, ergonomics, and custom manufacturing, the seats offer sloping sides with tailored dimensions. The armchairs are also equipped with a folding writing tablet and USB socket. Finally, the supply included 75 cushions with the same upholstery as the seats, applied directly to the last three rows of steps.
