LAMM armchairs and study benches furnish the spaces of the SEPR School of higher education for arts and crafts in Annonay

On the large campus, the lecture hall and the show cooking room are furnished with F50 armchairs and E4000 study benches, respectively

A campus conceived as a small town, where haute cuisine, the arts of pastry making and baking and various trades related to the world of hôtellerie are taught. A school of higher vocational training, which, thanks to a strong partnership with the world of business and manufacturing, has now reached 160 years of activity. This is the vocational school Société d’Enseignement Professionale du Rhône (SEPR) in Annonay, a French town in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

The new campus, designed by SOHO Architecture, is conceived as a system of pavilions in the green, open to the community, where the teaching spaces are enriched by a myriad of other functions, such as: a restaurant, vegetable gardens and orchards, spaces for conviviality and relaxation, an amphitheatre and student accommodation.

F50 armchairs furnish and add vibrancy to the conference room. The distinctive alternation of the four colours of the simil-leather upholstery creates a dynamic pixel effect. The E4000 study benches, on the other hand, accommodate students watching chef demonstrations in the classroom equipped with a hyper-equipped professional kitchen.

Installed in straight rows on steps, the F50 armchairs are arranged according to a center-to-center of 56 cm. Graphite-painted frame for seats that stand out for their versatility and wide range of accessories. Each is equipped with a tip-up foldaway writing tablet.

The integrated and continuous E4000 seating and table system, which is the result of a painstaking simplification and rationalisation study, is present in the cooking demonstration room in the version with seats, backrests, first row panels and fixed tabletop in oak 602 laminate by ABET Laminati. The structure is painted silver.

LAMM study chairs and desks in the new headquarters of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in the Reggiane Innovation Park

In the former Officine, which has become a prominent technological hub at the European level, a new university hub has been created with lecture halls and study rooms furnished and made functional thanks to the L213 armchairs and E4000 and ST13 study desks with New Modulamm seating

The “cathedrals of mechanics” – as the Officine Reggiane used to be called – have been reborn, giving life to a European hub of services and functions with a very high potential for innovation, a technological hub that unites universities, research centres, companies and public administration. In a place that has contributed to the writing of the history of Italian industry, where rolling stock and then also fighter planes were produced, various realities are now grouped together that contribute to the development of industrial research, technology transfer, the birth of new companies and the growth of existing ones.

In hall “C” of the Innovation Park, the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia has established itself. A hub for 2,000 students and four degree courses: Digital education, Psychological sciences and techniques, Data analysis and management for business and Digital automation engineering, in perfect symbiosis with the hub’s mission. The industrial character of the place is preserved: the new insinuates itself into the old leaving the columns and the metal structure of the roof bare, thanks to the recovery and re-functionalisation project by Cairepro – Cooperativa architetti e ingegneri, Zamboni Associati Architettura and Studio Silva.

The essential design of the L213 armchairs is in perfect harmony with the industrial soul of the place. The 286 seats – arranged in a curve on a flat floor, according to a spacing of 56 cm – furnish the lecture hall and make it functional. They were chosen in the version with a straight side panel of standard thickness (7 cm), equipped with a flip-up writing tablet, electrical socket and seat and row numbering. The structure is painted graphite, and Trevi-CS red fabric was chosen for the upholstery. The supply also included four speaker’s chairs.

In the eight study rooms, the elegance of the E4000 study desks stands out. They are present in the university centre in two versions: one with a folding top and the other with a fixed top (30 cm deep), both with cushioned seats and ABET Laminati finishes. Installed on the connecting bar of the rows, the integrated, continuous seating and table system is also equipped for electrical wiring.

For the two computer labs on the ground floor, LAMM supplied the innovative ST13 monobloc system with New Modulamm seating in plywood with an oak finish. Comfortable writing surfaces in 879 Graphite Grey laminate by ABET Laminati, 50 cm deep; those in the first rows have a front panel in extruded aluminium. The study desks are also equipped with an electrification system. The sockets housed in the supporting structure allow the writing surface to remain fully usable. Each of the two classrooms provides stations for persons with reduced mobility.

LAMM “Friend Company” for the “Cammina insieme con…noi” event

The autumn edition of the health walk of the “Cammina insieme con…noi” cycle will be held in Sissa-Trecasali on Sunday, 6 October 2024. This initiative is part of the “Insieme con te” campaign for the New Oncology Centre of Parma – supported by public and private bodies in the province – in which LAMM will also take part as a “Friend Company”, in collaboration with numerous other local partners.

The event, promoted by the Unione Parmense degli Industriali (Union of Industrialists of Parma), and organised in collaboration with the Municipal administration and local associations, was created with the aim of spreading greater consciousness on healthy lifestyles and raising awareness of cancer prevention. The aim of the walks, in fact, is to propose a light sporting activity, within everyone’s reach, to combat sedentariness, and at the same time, promote itineraries for leisure time.

Several dates have already taken place with an important participation of the public, technical sponsors and Parma Oncology professionals. A concrete sign of interest, on the part of the community and companies in the area, in the topics of proper dissemination and promotion of a healthy lifestyle, in favour of solidarity.
