LAMM introduces the new folding table with soft-closing mechanism

Innovation and safety for the Education and Conference sector

LAMM presents the new folding table with slow, soft-closing mechanism, an innovative solution (Patent Pending) designed to offer excellence in the field of community seating.

Applicable on the E4000 and E5000 study desks, and as a work surface on the backrest of Conference armchairs, the table is distinguished by its unique damping technology that ensures a transition from use to rest position with controlled, safe and quiet movement, preventing abrupt and noisy movements.

The product has already passed rigorous European testing and endurance tests, confirming the highest standards of safety and durability.

Innovation fits perfectly into the strategic approach of LAMM, which continues to work on improving and innovating its products, offering state-of-the-art solutions to meet the needs of the most modern campuses and community spaces.

Educational furniture LAMM for Poliambulanza, the research and training centre of excellence

A private hospital in Brescia, pioneer of social medicine, chooses E4000 and ST13 study desks, teacher’s desks, Lucky and HL3 chairs

Continuously striving for progress, with an innovative spirit, so as to improve medical, surgical and diagnostic services for patients. This is the spirit that characterises the activities of Poliambulanza, the private hospital in Brescia, founded in the early 1900s to care for the needy and today recognised as a centre of excellence by the Joint Commission International, the world’s largest accreditation body in the health sector. Aimed at clinical, technological and organisational improvement, the non-profit organisation reinvests what it earns each year in equipment, expansion works and in activities that will improve the services offered, for the benefit of its users.

The Brescian hospital’s ambitious quest for progress met with LAMM products, chosen to renovate the Eugenia Menni educational park, a centre dedicated to scientific research and to the training of healthcare personnel, also at an international level. The E4000, ST13 study desks and the HL3 chairs – FSC® C134805 certified – together with the Lucky chairs furnish and make the classrooms and library of the prestigious centre functional, allowing the rooms to meet the most modern needs and requirements. The E4000 study desks, installed in the examination room, are equipped with a flip-up writing surface. The table top, seat and backrest are in Abet oak finish laminate, while the frame is painted in silver. The integrated, continuous system of seats and tables is fixed on bars that connect the rows.

For two further classrooms and the library, the choice fell on the innovative ST13 monobloc system, consisting of a desk with a fixed writing surface and two swivel chairs supported by pivoting press-moulded arms. The comfortable writing surface (50 cm depth) is in Abet beech finish laminate version and is combined with a New Modulamm plywood seat in the same finish. The structure, painted in silver, incorporates electrical sockets. Fastening is carried out on inter-row bars, with the first modules equipped with a 21 cm high extruded aluminium front panel.

The supply also includes: teacher’s desks, HL3 chairs with swivel aluminium base, removable armrests, polished aluminium armrests, upholstered in Inca faux leather; to complete the colourful and very light Lucky chairs in polypropylene, chosen in the version with four legs and armrests painted in silver.

Unica armchairs for the futuristic Kuwait University campus awarded the prestigious Innovation & Sustainability Award by the AIA

The seats, an expression of adaptability and comfort, furnished and made functional four auditoriums of the College of Business and the College of Life Sciences in the university district near Kuwait City

Ardiya, not far from Kuwait City. This is where a state-of-the-art university district, initiated by the Sabah Al-Salem University, was born. Within it rise the award-winning architecture of CambridgeSeven (USA) and Gulf Consult (Kuwait), giving life to the College of Business and the College of Life Sciences, the two departments respectively dedicated to the education of future managers and life science experts. The work of the two architecture firms was recognised by the American Institute of Architects for the “functional, aesthetic and sustainable design” as well as for the approach used, which responds to climate requirements through solutions “in symbiosis with the local culture”.

The architecture of the College of Life Sciences reinterprets the Arabian building tradition and in particular the iconic mashrabiya and wind towers to give shape, respectively, to the façade designed using diamond shapes of perforated metal in the same colour as the desert and to the interior atria, which not only promote cooling thanks to the chimney effect, but also become meeting places par excellence, designed to promote collaboration between students, favouring informal learning and social interaction.

The Unica armchairs, an expression of adaptability and comfort, furnished the spaces of the two “Colleges” and made them functional with over 1,200 seats. In the four auditoriums, one of which has two levels, the seats were arranged in straight or curved rows with a 60 or 61 cm spacing, according to needs. Selected in the low-back version with a tip-up foldaway writing tablet, the seats are upholstered in genuine leather (dark red or grey, depending on the environment) and equipped with seat and row numbering. The armchairs also use solid bamboo wood to make up the armrests, the sides at the beginning and end of the rows, and the low casings that form the backs. The central sides are also padded and upholstered in genuine leather like the seats and backrests.

The LAMM supply gives shape to Bergamo’s renovated auditorium

The linear design of the C100 – Baldanzi & Novelli armchairs, together with the open cabinets, the mezzanine for the control booth, the platform and chairs for the speakers and panellists, the flame-retardant curtains and Flip tables, furnish the high-tech auditorium created from the extensive restyling of the old Civic Centre.

The linear design of the C100 – Baldanzi & Novelli armchairs, together with the open cabinets, the mezzanine for the control booth, the platform and chairs for the speakers and panellists, the flame-retardant curtains and Flip tables, furnish the high-tech auditorium created from the extensive restyling of the old Civic Centre

The new auditorium of the Civic Centre in Via Furietti, in the Malpensata district of Bergamo, was inaugurated. An intervention co-financed with PNRR funds, which resulted from the modernisation of the old building where the district was located. A thorough restyling, which involved demolition work, as well as the creation of a new auditorium and a modern control room.

Once the old risers were eliminated, the C100 – Baldanzi & Novelli entered the scene with their linear and elegant design, which has proven to be very versatile and suitable for any environment; from those steeped in history to the most modern: from the Church of San Vincenzo in Piacenza, transformed into an auditorium, to the futuristic Museum of the Future in Dubai.

For the auditorium in Bergamo, the version chosen is the one with a low back and floor-standing sides. Arranged in straight rows on a level floor, the seats follow a spacing of 56 cm. The side panels, upholstered in grey leatherette like the rest of the seat, have been chosen in a reduced length (they are available in two height variants). The armchair has a wide range of functional accessories to choose from. For the new hall in the Civic Centre, the decision was made to equip it with retractable folding writing tablets with anti-panic movement.

The supply did not end with the armchairs: LAMM furnished and made the new space functional with the iron staircase and its railing for the control booth, the fire-retardant curtains, metal shelves, an open cabinet and a wall-mounted coat rack. Also included in the supply are the chairs for speakers and panellists and the removable platform, the lectern with cable ducts and folding and stackable Flip tables that can be easily stacked and removed with the aid of a special transport trolley.
